AAELC’s Food for the Soul 2022

February 23 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

$15

Join us for a discussion on Black Women and Wellness with renowned author and speaker, Jonni Redick.

Before retiring as Assistant Chief for the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Jonni Redick spent 29 years breaking through the “less-than-one-percent: ceiling for women of color in executive leadership in law enforcement.

Her progression from front-line police work to executive leadership generated her passion for cultivating trust and legitimacy in organizational cultures. Her training and instructional background includes work in cultural diversity, procedural justice, implicit bias, organizational culture, stress resiliency and public trust and legitimacy.

Redick is now the CEO of leadership and promotional development consulting business, JL Consulting Solutions. She also is the author of “Survival Guide to Law Enforcement Promotional Preparation” and “Black, White & Blue: Surviving the Shifting,” a leadership memoir.

She holds a master’s degree in law enforcement and public safety leadership and is an adjunct professor for the San Joaquin Delta College POST Academy and the University of San Diego’s Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership Master’s Program.
