The mission of the African American Employees Leadership Council is to advocate for fair and equitable treatment of African American employees and citizens by the City of Sacramento through our commitment to enlighten, empower and impact all issues of diversity and inclusion that affect African Americans.

We encourage actions to enhance diversity and inclusion in every opportunity. We also engage in succession planning to ensure that we sustain this effort.
